John Louie

John Louie is a third-generation member of Green Valley Floral in Salinas, California, where he supports the company’s sales, marketing, and farm operations.
Established in 1973, Green Valley Floral is a California-based grower and shipper of garden roses, spray roses, gerberas, greens, and field flowers.

Prior to returning to the family business, John graduated from Middlebury College with degrees in Economics and Political Science. After graduation, he worked at
Tanimura & Antle and PlantTape in the fresh vegetable industry, gaining broad experience in agricultural technology, farm operations, and business development.
He now applies this background to expanding Green Valley Floral’s product mix and adapting sales channels to meet evolving consumer and retail demand.

In addition to his work at Green Valley Floral, John serves on the Board of Directors for the First Tee of Monterey County, a nonprofit dedicated to building character
and life skills in local youth through the game of golf. He and his wife live in Monterey, where they enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors.

John is honored to be considered for the CalFlowers Board and is committed to contributing his experience and perspective to furthering the growth and visibility of
the floral industry.
