What is our current overall FedEx® discount?
We have many FedEx Express® discounts - FedEx Priority Overnight & FedEx Standard Overnight® to name a few.
What's the difference between FedEx First, Priority, and Standard Overnight® shipping?
Although FedEx First Overnight is available to any FedEx customer, it is HIGHLY recommended that you do not select this service unless it is absolutely necessary and you fully understand the pricing. FedEx First Overnight® (8am) is a remarkable service but please understand FedEx does not discount this option. Rates are expensive and cannot be re-rated once shipped. The Standard Overnight delivery commitment is around 5 hours later (3:30pm), which can make a difference with many varieties in terms of arrival condition. Take a look - you will be surprised how close these rates are.
- FedEx First Overnight®: Delivery the next-business-day morning by 8 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 9 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. to most areas.
- FedEx Priority Overnight®: Delivery the next business day by 10:30 a.m. to most businesses in the contiguous U.S. and by noon to most residences.
- FedEx Standard Overnight®: Next-business-day delivery by 3:30 p.m. to U.S. businesses and by 8 p.m. to residences.

Do we have rates on FedEx® Ground as well?
Yes. Participating AFA members receive a significant discount depending on weight.
Are there any box minimums for FedEx® shipments?
There are no box minimums per waybill.
What is our FedEx® Dimensional Factor?
American Floral Alliance has an exceptional FedEx Express® DIM factor. The industry standard is 139. Our FedEx Ground® DIM factor is also exceptional.
How quickly do I need to pay FedEx® invoices?
Participating AFA members are required to keep their accounts in good standing with FedEx® in order to participate in our discounted FedEx® program. Please review the FedEx® payment terms at http://www.fedex.com/us/service-guide/terms/express-ground/.
How do I get technical service from FedEx®?
FedEx® publishes contact information on its website at http://www.fedex.com/us/customersupport/call/.
How do I file a claim with FedEx®?
Instructions are on the FedEx® website at http://www.fedex.com/us/customersupport/managing/claims/.
If I forget to weigh my box or do not list a weight on the FedEx® bill, how do I know I am being correctly charged?
FedEx® automatically weighs AND measures each box sent through its system. Their scales and laser scanners are very accurate. They will take the greater of the two weights (actual weight or dimensional weight) and use that number to price your shipment. Keep in mind, FedEx® will always “round up” to the next weight level if you are in-between weight breaks. This can make a difference!
If I leave the ventilation flaps open (sticking out), will that affect the box size scanned?
Yes. Vent flaps when open are picked up by FedEx® scanners. The readings will reflect that and most always measure your box larger than what it actually is. I recommend keeping the ventilation flaps closed.
Does AFA have FedEx First Overnight® rates?
No. FedEx Priority Overnight® (10:30 a.m. delivery) is our earliest discounted overnight service.
Can I ship via FedEx® to a 3rd party and still get my discounted rate?

If I am “Cash Listed” by FedEx®, am I still able to receive my AFA discounted rates?

Can I send something other than flowers via FedEx® when using these rates?

Does FedEx® have any service that can help a shipper develop or test a box?
