New facility expands global floral education and digital learning opportunities for students worldwide.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Floral Design Institute (FDI), a world leader in floral design education since 1969, proudly announces the opening of its new studio and headquarters at 1022 NW Marshall Street, Suite 390, Portland, Oregon.

For more than 56 years, Floral Design Institute has provided licensed floral design education to students from around the world. Licensed by the Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission, FDI has trained thousands of students through in-person and online programs while advancing professional floral education globally.

The new headquarters represents a significant investment in the future of floral education. Designed specifically for digital learning and media production, the facility features state-of-the-art video, photography, and internet technology that will support the development of new educational programs and enhance the learning experience for students worldwide.

"We have always strived to be innovators and leaders in floral design education," said owners Leanne and David Kesler. "This move is another leap forward as we continue expanding opportunities for students everywhere to learn, create, and build meaningful careers working with flowers."

Under the leadership of Leanne Kesler AAF AIFD PFCI CEJ FDI and David Kesler AAF AIFD PFCI FDI, (both pictured above) Floral Design Institute has become internationally recognized for educational excellence and innovation. In 1998, FDI launched the world's first licensed distance-learning floral design vocational program—years ahead of the online learning revolution. Today, students access coursework online 24 hours a day from locations around the globe.

Floral Design Institute's educational reach extends far beyond the classroom. The Institute has produced more than 2,000 free floral design videos, reaching millions of viewers worldwide and earning the YouTube Silver Creator Award for surpassing 100,000 subscribers. Across digital and social media platforms, FDI now serves an audience exceeding five million people annually.

Leanne Kesler, a member of the American Academy of Floriculture (AAF), Accredited Member of the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD), and Professional Floral Communicators International (PFCI), has dedicated her career to advancing floral education, supporting vocational teachers, mentoring students, and promoting the floral industry both locally and internationally.

"At Floral Design Institute, our greatest accomplishment has always been the success of our students," said Kesler. "Our mission remains unchanged: helping people Do Something You Love."

The new studio and headquarters position Floral Design Institute for continued growth as it develops innovative educational programs, expands digital offerings, and inspires future generations of floral designers around the world.
