Stream the New Season of “Life In Bloom”
The NEW SEASON of J Schwanke’s Life In Bloom is premiering on local public television (PBS) stations across the nation. However, if you can’t wait until your local station schedules new episodes, the show is available to stream for FREE with the PBS App. Download the FREE PBS App on your Smart Phone, Tablet, or Smart TV to stream the new season - and all previous seasons - on your schedule.
“This is new with public television and our distributor, American Public Television (APT),” shares J Schwanke. “The new season started Tuesday, April 1st, FREE on the PBS App – a brand-new episode drops every Tuesday for 14 weeks! Stream new shows whenever you want!”
“The new season kicked off with a bang in April, including shows with Flower Legend Phil Rulloda, AIFD, and cross-over with the iconic PBS series The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross. Then we showed how to enjoy a Market Bouquet four different ways - to really activate the consumer’s creativity for flowers that they see every week at the grocer,” said J. “Then our ‘May Day is Lei Day’ shows in Hawai’i were the next to premiere - we met so many amazing flower people and are thrilled that their stories are now being shared.”
Episode premieres coming up every Tuesday in the PBS App include:
May 6 - Flower Magic - featuring visits to FBI Flowers, Mellano & Company and the Original Los Angeles Flower Market with L.A. photo stylist Aimie Vredevoogd.
May 13 - Flowers Can - themed around Mason Jars - including bouquets on site at Kendall Farms and a centenarian flower fan.
May 20 - Flower Crafts - includes a fun flower craft for kids, making prints with actual flowers, and decorating cookies with pressed flowers.
May 27 - Flowers for Now and Later - techniques for often-requested permanent flowers, as well as an arrangement made with the popular toy building brick flower kits that have captured everyone’s imagination.
June 2 - Fun with Flower Frogs - J explores 4 different types of flower frog and show techniques for arranging success.
“We produce the shows about a year in advance, so it’s always an exciting time to finally hear viewer reactions to the shows,” explained J. “Most shows also feature an arrangement or two that viewers have sent in pictures of – in a segment we call Flowers from YOU!’ I love to see how viewers are inspired!”
“Thank you to CalFlowers for their continued support of the show - helping us spread the goodness of flowers every day. There is an episode playing every day somewhere in the country as the show reaches 115 million homes weekly, playing thousands of times each month according to TRAC Media. We are happy to share the viewership reports with the board or any CalFlowers members who might be interested,” enthused J.
